Refund Policy

This policy applies to Cubedoku Pro subscriptions purchased through Paddle, our merchant of record. The free tier of Cubedoku is, and will remain, free — there is nothing to refund there.

1. 14-day money-back guarantee

If you are not satisfied with Cubedoku Pro for any reason, you can request a full refund within 14 days of your most recent payment (initial purchase or renewal). No questions asked, no forms to argue your way through.

This applies to monthly and annual subscriptionsalike. For an annual subscription refunded inside the 14-day window, you get the full amount back, not a pro-rated portion.

2. After the 14-day window

After 14 days, subscriptions are non-refundable for the current billing period. You can cancel at any time, and you will keep access to Pro features until the end of the period you have already paid for. You will not be charged again.

For annual subscriptions cancelled after the 14-day window, we do not refund the unused months. If you believe you have an exceptional circumstance (medical, bereavement, billing error on our end), email us — we read every message.

3. How to request a refund

The fastest path is through Paddle directly:

  • Find the email receipt from Paddle (sender: help@paddle.com).
  • Reply to that email asking for a refund, or click the self-service link in it.
  • Paddle processes the refund directly to your original payment method. We are notified automatically.

If you cannot find the Paddle email, email us at support@cubedoku.com with the email address you used to subscribe. We will locate the transaction and pass it to Paddle on your behalf within 2 business days.

4. Processing time

Once a refund is approved, Paddle typically returns funds within 5 to 10 business days, depending on your payment method:

  • Credit and debit cards — 5 to 10 business days.
  • iDEAL (Netherlands bank transfer) — 3 to 5 business days.
  • Alipay — 1 to 5 business days.

We do not control how long your bank or payment provider takes to post the refund. If 10 business days pass without the refund appearing, contact help@paddle.com (and CC us so we can chase it).

5. What happens to your account after a refund

When a refund is processed, your Pro entitlement is removed at the end of the refund processing window (a few minutes to a few hours). Your account, nickname, leaderboard entries, and game progress are not affected — only the Pro features (ad-free, Expert mode) revert to the free-tier behaviour.

If you want your account deleted entirely after a refund, sign in and use Settings → Account → Delete account. This is independent of the refund process.

6. Chargebacks

If you disagree with a charge, please ask for a refund beforeopening a chargeback with your bank. A chargeback costs us a fee regardless of outcome and is much slower for you than a direct refund. We will always refund inside the 14-day window — there is no reason to escalate first.

Accounts found to be initiating fraudulent chargebacks (paying, playing the Pro features, then disputing the charge) may be suspended.

7. Pricing changes and grandfathering

If we raise the price of Pro, existing subscribers keep their original price for as long as their subscription remains active and unbroken. If you cancel and re-subscribe later, the then-current price applies. We will email you at least 30 days in advance of any price change that affects you.

8. Statutory rights

Nothing in this policy limits the statutory rights you have as a consumer under the law of your country of residence. EU/EEA consumers in particular have rights under Directive 2011/83/EU that apply regardless of what this policy says.
