Get Cubedoku as an App — Add to Home Screen on iPhone & Android
Cubedoku Guides · Published 2026-06-11
Cubedoku runs entirely in your browser — but it doesn't have to feel like a website. Every modern phone can pin it to the home screen as a real app icon: it opens full screen with no address bar, has its own splash screen, and starts with one tap. No app store, no download, no update prompts — it takes about thirty seconds, and this guide walks through every platform.
What you get
- One-tap launch — your daily puzzle is a single tap away, exactly like a native app.
- Full-screen play — no address bar or browser tabs eating into the board, which matters most on small phones and on the 3D cube modes.
- Zero storage cost— it's still the website, so it never needs gigabytes or version updates. New features appear the next time you open it.
One tip before you start: sign in first
The installed app keeps its own separate browser storage. If you have been playing anonymously, the progress saved in your browser does not move over automatically — but everything attached to your account (nicknames, leaderboard results, streaks, VIP) follows you the moment you sign in. So if you care about your records, take ten seconds to sign in before installing, then sign in again inside the app. Anonymous play works fine too — you will simply start fresh.
iPhone & iPad (Safari)
- Open cubedoku.com in Safari — this only works in Safari, not Chrome or an in-app browser.
- Tap the Share button — the square with an arrow pointing up, at the bottom of the screen (top right on iPad).
- Scroll down the share sheet and tap Add to Home Screen.
- Tap Add. The Cubedoku icon appears on your home screen — tap it and the game opens full screen.
Android (Chrome)
- Open cubedoku.com in Chrome.
- Tap the ⋮ menu in the top-right corner.
- Tap Add to Home screen (on newer versions of Chrome it may say Install app — same thing, even better).
- Confirm, and the icon lands on your home screen. Samsung Internet, Edge and Firefox on Android have the same option under their own menus.
Desktop (Chrome or Edge)
On a computer, look for the small install icon at the right end of the address bar (a screen with a down arrow) and click it — Cubedoku opens in its own window with its own taskbar icon from then on. Handy for a lunch-break Daily Challenge without hunting through forty tabs.
If you don't see the option
- On iPhone:you are probably not in Safari. Links opened from social or chat apps use a built-in mini browser that hides “Add to Home Screen” — copy the link and open it in the real Safari app.
- On Android:same story — in-app browsers don't offer install. Open the site in Chrome itself.
- Wrong icon or name? Remove the icon and add it again — your phone may have cached an old version of the page.
